How Safe is Your Holiday?

The holiday season is upon us! If you need good examples of what NOT to do, please watch National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. This time of year brings with it many emotions for many different reasons and all the stresses that go along with it. The time of year when work and personal life often overlap.

This year even more so with planning gatherings and dinners and you may need to learn how to use new technology. Not only do you have to find the right present, but you may also have to navigate having more packages to ship.

With more people at home, they have much more time to add that last set of holiday lights to the roof on that ladder that might not be quite so safe.

Fatigue, frustration, ladder and electrical safety, as well as everyday winter slip, trips, and falls all converge. If training and culture are strong in your organization, safety becomes a state of mind and not an item on a to-do list. Remind workers that safety doesn’t take a vacation just because they do. Let’s help the holidays be a joyous time and make it through the season incident-free.
