Don’t Gamble on Safety

Reduce slip, trip, and falls on stairs. Millions of people are treated for fall-related injuries. Are you being safe going up and down the stairs?  Below are a few tips on how to stay safe

  1. Hold On to the Handrail.
  2. Make Sure Your Stairs Are Up to Code.
  3. Do Not Polish or Wax Your Staircase.
  4. Make Sure Your Staircase Is Well Lit.
  5. Inspect stairways for irregularities such as missing steps, loose handrails, corrosion, holes, grease, spills, or loose carpet/rugs.
  6. Never use stairways or landings as a storage place, even temporarily.
